The building is one of the oldest properties in the village. It even has an outhouse that was once used to boil food up for the livestock. This is still part of the outhouse together with the pig troughs and hooks where meat once used to hang before being bought to the table.
Former ceiling heights were inadequate for modern living and the first task was to dig below to improve this. It was clear the property need serious underpinning. During the process the middle structural wall fell down together with the central chimney, Initially a major disappointment it became clear this was an advantage as the property has clean open space throughout the ground floor.
The cottage benefits from sea views from the bedroom and bathrooms and a panoramic view of the nearby moorlands and valleys to the South and West.
The cottage has one double bedroom and a gallery bedroom with 2 double futons and a bathroom with shower and bath.
